East Ridge Chateau

Project Details

As originally built in 1948, this Colonial style home has been added on to with each occupant, and most recently in 2017 with owners who love the charm of an older house with separate rooms but desired the convenience of an open concept. They married the two by adding bright white cabinets, timeless Carrara marble, and brushed brass hardware. The zinc hood was custom made and is a focal point in the kitchen. The new favorite room in the house is the study that was added – a warm and masculine space with white oak walls and pecky cypress ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and built-in bookshelves.

A complete overhaul took place with the landscaping, including updating the back patio using antique Bessemer Grey brick and adding a fountain to make it a serene outdoor experience. While the homeowners had a vision for what they desired, it was certainly a collaborative effort of creativity between the architect, interior designer, and builder.
