When the family of 8 who owns this beautiful property came to us, we knew it was going to be a special project.
This stunning lake home was constructed on top of a beautiful natural waterfall, allowing the water to gently cascade through the foundation of the home and down to the lake and boathouse below. We enhanced the natural beauty with tasteful stone and landscaping – the entire house built on the bedrock, which meant hammering the entire foundation to make a solid base for this home.
Some of the unique highlights of this home include beams on the screen porch from an 1800’s schoolhouse, reclaimed floors from a tobacco warehouse, and massive trusses in the great room erected right there on site.
We completed construction of the home twelve months to the date from when we started. The owners were some of the best people we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and we hope that this home will be a safe haven for them and their six children for generations to come!
